In plants, lignin provides not only structural support but also protects the cells from UV radiation and free radicals. Lignovations’ Colloidal Technology makes these natural protective functions of lignin usable in cosmetic formulations by upcycling and transforming lignin into LignoGuard®, a high-performance SPF booster, antioxidant and emulsion stabilizer.
LignoGuard® can be used in a wide range of products such as skin care, sun care, color cosmetics and anti-aging to improve performance and replace synthetic ingredients.
